Facebook: a snooze function to mute your friends

Facebook has a Snooze feature to mute your friends temporarily.
An option that will temporarily prevent your friends
updates from appearing in your news feed.

Facebook is currently deploying Snooze mode to a few users.
This option temporarily puts your friends in mute.
It also applies to pages and groups.

According to our colleagues at TechCrunch, some social
network users have started to receive this new feature.
When one clicks on the three small dots in the top
right of a publication, one sees then appear a menu
"Do not follow anymore".

There are several options available to the user.
For example, the user may decide to mute a friend,
page or group for a 24-hour period or a whole week
or even 30 days. For Facebook, this new function is also a way to stem the erosion of interaction on the platform. After all, it quite common to see some friends or groups temporarily bombing their friends or members.
For the time being, it is not known whether
this is only a test phase or whether this Snooze
option is being deployed in all countries.
In any case, you will be kept informed.
